Got a good deal on hosting

I was looking for some new Business Hosting and saw they had a discount for annual payments. It saved me a good chunk of money upfront. The setup was fairly easy, and I got a free domain with it too, which was a nice bonus. It felt like a good deal overall for what I paid. My site is up and running, so I'm happy with the purchase.

Decent hosting, slow migration

I went with their Premier Hosting and a Website Migration. The hosting itself seems solid, my site has been stable and pretty fast. However, the migration took a bit longer than I expected, about 3 business days, which felt a little slow. Support was responsive when I checked in on it, but it still meant a bit of downtime for me. Overall, good value for the hosting, but I hope they can speed up the migration process for future customers.

Super fast, easy setup!

I just got the NVMe Web Hosting and it's fantastic! Setup was a breeze, and my site loads so quickly now. I'm really impressed with the performance. I will definitely be coming back for more services, and I've already told my friends about DreamIT Host!

Good for my little blog

I needed some basic WordPress hosting for my blog, nothing too fancy. I picked up their WordPress Web Hosting plan. It worked out pretty well. Everything was easy enough to set up, and my site has been running fine since. The price was decent too. No complaints from me.

Consistent service as always

This is my third time using DreamIT Host for different projects. This time I got a new Domain Registration and some Email Hosting. Just like before, the process was smooth. Their customer support was quick to answer a question I had about configuring the email, which was helpful. I appreciate that their service is consistently reliable. That's why I keep coming back, honestly. Never had a major issue with them over the years, and this order was no different. Good stuff.

anyone know if their 'premier' hosting is actually worth the extra cash over just regular web hosting? trying to decide if I need the fancier one for my small business site.

R Robert Evans 3 weeks ago
I think Premier usually means more resources, like more CPU and RAM. If your site gets a lot of traffic or has complex stuff, it's probably worth it. For a basic blog, maybe not.

premier plans often come with better support or maybe some extra features like dedicated resources. depends on how critical your site is. for a small biz, i'd lean towards premier if you can swing it.

hey, was looking at their wordpress hosting options. is it true you get a free domain with it? or is that only on certain plans?

A Alex D. 1 month ago
Yeah, I think it's usually tied to like, the annual plans. I got one when I signed up for a year.

E Elizabeth 1 month ago
Not all of them, no. You gotta check the specific promo. Sometimes it's free for the first year, sometimes it's like only with the bigger packages.

anybody used their support? like if i have a problem at 2 am, can i actually talk to someone or is it just email support?

J Justin W. 2 weeks ago
They boast 24/7 Australian support. I've used their chat late at night and got a response fairly quickly. They're usually pretty helpful.

Yeah, their support is 24/7. It's one of their main selling points, actually. Not just email, they have live chat too which is handy.

how fast is their account setup? if i sign up today, will my hosting be ready to go in a few hours or does it take days?

R Ryan Gomez 3 weeks ago
Usually pretty quick. Mine was set up within an hour or so, I think. You get the login details almost immediately.

From my experience, account setup is generally pretty instant for standard hosting plans. You should be good to go fairly fast after payment.

is dreamithost actually australian owned? i'm trying to support local companies where i can.

J Jeff H. 1 month ago
Yeah, they're Aussie owned. Their servers are in Australia too, which is good for local visitors.

They are, pretty sure. Heard it from a few people. Good to keep things local.

i'm comparing dreamithost with siteground. is dreamithost really faster or just marketing talk? my current site is slooooow.

Z Zach Parker 1 month ago
They use NVMe storage, which is super fast. For Australian visitors, having local servers definitely helps with speed compared to someone like SiteGround which might have servers further away.

J John Jones 4 weeks ago
It's hard to say definitively faster than *all* others, but NVMe and local servers are a big plus. If your audience is mainly Aussie, you'll probably see a performance boost over something hosted overseas.

how's the site migration? i'm with ventraip right now and moving everything over sounds like a nightmare. do they actually help you out?

J Jeff Johnson 1 month ago
They do offer free migration services. I used it when I switched from Bluehost and it was pretty smooth. Just had to give them access and they handled most of it.

S Susan Perez 1 month ago
Yeah, they'll move your site. I've heard good things, although I haven't used it myself. My friend said it took a few days but they got it done.

what's the deal with their discounts? do they ever have recurring ones, or is it always just for the first billing cycle? trying to avoid sticker shock after a year.

E Emma R. 3 weeks ago
Most of the really big discounts are for new customers or the first period. Sometimes they have 10% off for annual renewals, but it's not as much as the sign-up deal.
5
R Rachel Lopez 3 weeks ago
You'll usually see bigger discounts upfront. For renewals, sometimes you can snag a smaller recurring one if you pay annually. Keep an eye out during Black Friday, they sometimes have better renewal deals then.
